Inge Brakman
Inge Brakman was member of the Dutch Media Authority (Commissariaat voor de Media) since April 1999 and worked before as secretary at the Dutch Association of Journalists. From 1 October 2006 onward, Inge Brakman acted as chairperson of the Dutch media authority.
In her position at the Media Authority she was responsible for the supervision of advertising, sponsoring and content programme obligations. Furthermore she was engaged in monitoring and evaluating concentration developments in the various Dutch media sectors. She resigned after her second term in April 2009.
Currently she’;s advising the Dutch government on innovation and the future of the press, she is member of the board of trustees of the University of Amsterdam and she is member of the supervisory board of Fortis Bank Nederland.
Besides these positions she is adviser and supervisor in the field of Agriculture and Nature.
