Georgios Kipouros
Georgios Kipouros was born in 1987, Greece. He recently completed his BA (Hons) in International and European Studies at Panteion University of Athens; his dissertation work with the title "The Media, Youth Participation and Politics" focused on the role of media in fostering youth participation. Georgios currently lives in Athens and works at the A. Papandreou Institute of Strategic and Development Studies. In September 2009, he will be moving to the UK for postgraduate studies in Media, Communication and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Georgios has worked as Project and Communications Manager for the European Secretariat of the Young European Federalists (2006-8) handling the large scale, Plan-D funded campaign “Speak Up Europe” and the new-media project “European Vibes”. Additional professional experiences include a long-term internship at the Press and Media Service of the European Commission Representation in Greece (2008), hosting a twice-weekly youth related news show at the Greek National Radio (2003-4) and Media relations management at the Europe Direct of Komotini, Greece (2002-4).
