William Horsley

 

William Horsley is an experienced journalist and the international representative of the Association of European Journalists, an independent organisation of media professionals across Europe. He speaks for the AEJ at the Council  of Europe and other international organisations and is chairman of the AEJ's UK Section. As a BBC news correspondent for many years he reported widely from Asia, Europe and other parts of the world for BBC TV and Radio.

He has written on international affairs for many journals including the International Herald Tribune and The Economist,and published several surveys of media-government relations across Europe for the AEJ. He is also the international director of the Centre for Freedom of the Media (CFOM) at the University of Sheffield in the UK. He writes regular columns for the websites of CFOM and the BBC's College of Journalism and many of his articles appear on BBC News Online.
